The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Sport, Arts and Culture is offering internship opportunities for unemployed youth with relevant qualifications in various fields. If you’re a graduate residing in the province, aged 18 to 35, this is your chance to gain valuable work experience in a government department and kick-start your career.

About the Internship Programme

Successful candidates will be contracted for a 24-month internship and will receive a stipend of R7,450.20 per month. The programme aims to equip you with practical experience in your field of study, enhancing your employability and giving you exposure to real-world applications of your academic qualifications.

  • Duration: 24 months
  • Stipend: R7,450.20 per month
  • Target Group: Unemployed youth aged 18-35 years
  • Eligibility: Applicants must have a relevant Degree or National Diploma and must not have had work experience in the area of study or participated in an internship in any government department previously.

Who Should Apply?

  • Youth aged 18 to 35 years
  • Unemployed graduates with relevant qualifications (Degree or Three-Year National Diploma)
  • Individuals who have not participated in any previous internship programme with a government department or gained formal work experience in their field of study

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted with a Z83 form (Download Here)  and must be accompanied by accompanied by a recently updated comprehensive CV detailing the modules covered by the qualification and proof of residential address only. Please indicate the Reference number and Area/Centre on your application form.

NB. Only shortlisted candidates will be required to submit certified copies of an ID documents, qualifications, and recent academic transcripts / records.
